One of the most commonly used needle-free systems worldwide, the award-winning SmartSite™ needle-free valve is a completely closed system, designed for injection, aspiration or gravity flow of fluids after it has been activated by a male luer device. These valves constitute a passive safety system, requiring no extra components or additional actions to achieve needle-free compliance.

Each SmartSite™ needle-free valve has a smooth, swabbable surface for easy disinfection by healthcare personnel at every access point. Their design makes them easy to handle, and their small profile decreases the chances of skin irritation or mechanical phlebitis. Constructed with durable materials, SmartSite™ valves are also resistant to cracking caused by lipid exposure and stress.

SmartSite™ valves offer a straight, non-convoluted fluid path, resulting in favorably high flow rates (up to 4500 mL/hr). Furthermore, they have a high pressure rating and are able to tolerate back pressure up to 45 psi.

Our selection of SmartSite™ needle-free valves is available and ready to ship. We offer several designs to accommodate most project requirements. Note that the Texium® valve (90400) is unique within the grouping, able to partner with any SmartSite™ needle-free valve to create a simple-to-use, closed, needle-free system. The fluid path opens upon connection. The Texium® closed male luer ensures a drip- and leak-free connection via its patented no-drip-tip technology, which creates a vacuum mechanism when closing.
