Search Methods
There are two methods when searching; a keyword search and a part number search.
Part Number Search:
If you know the Qosina part number of the product you are looking for, you may type the part number into the search box. You will then be automatically taken to a webpage with the product information.
Keyword Search:
To enter a query, type in a few descriptive words and press Enter (or click the Go button) for a list of relevant web pages. Since Qosina's search only returns web pages that contain all the words in your query, refining or narrowing your search is as simple as adding more words to the search terms you have already entered. Use this method to search for products, materials, sizes, packaging information, etc.
Choosing Keywords
For best results, it's important to choose your keywords wisely. Keep these tips in mind:

Try the obvious first. If you're looking for information on luer locks, enter luer locks rather than medical components.
•
Use words likely to appear on a site with the information you want. Open Jaw Slide Clamp gets better results than tubing components used for clamping.
•
Make keywords as specific as possible. Suction Tip with Malleable Shaft and Control Vent gets more relevant results than Tips.
Search Options
There are two options when searching, you may search the 'Online Catalog' or the 'Entire Website'. You may use the drop-down box to select which type of search you are interested in.
Catalog Search:
If you select "Online Catalog" your search will be limited to only Qosina's products.
Website Search:
If you select "Entire Website" your search will cover the whole Qosina website, including all of Qosina's news.
Automatic Exclusions
Qosina's search ignores common words and characters such as "of" and "how", as well as certain single digits, single letters, and URL's because they tend to slow down your search without improving the results. If a common word is essential to getting the results you want, you can include it by conducting a phrase search, which means putting quotation marks around two or more words. Common words in a phrase search (e.g., "a complete line of luers") are included in the search.
Capitalization
Qosina's search is NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "high pressure tubing line", "High Pressure Tubing Line", and "hIgH pReSsUrE tUbInG LinE" will all return the same results.
Word Variations (Stemming)
To provide the most accurate results, Qosina's search does not use "stemming" or support "wildcard" searches. In other words, Qosina's search engine searches for exactly the words that you enter in the search box. Searching for "stop" or "stop*" will not yield "stopcocks".
